Obituary for James Carl "Mr. B" Buxton

On January 21, 1938, James Carl Buxton was born to the late Cardell and Annie Lee Buxton, in Candler County. Both parents proceeded him in death including the late Elevenia Yvonne Buxton; his loving daughters, Mary Michelle Buxton and Jacqueline Reese.

To all who knew him, James Buxton was known as “Mr. B.” He attended school here in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Buxton was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and mentor. By heart he was a truck driver that loved the road. He sustained his career serving several years for Andrew Van Line, Merritt Moving Storage, and Arpin Van Lines. Mr. James Buxton demonstrated a strong will to live, most importantly he never cease from praising the Lord. He loved to read the bible and served as a faithful Deacon, at Freespirit Worldwide Assembly Inc. for many joyous years.

On Saturday, December 20, 2014, God called Deacon James Buxton home after a valiant battle of sickness. Deacon Buxton demonstrated an unwavering faith in God which carried him into his final rest. Deacon James had a contagious smile and projected a positive Godly influence on everyone. He also had countless relatives and friends that loved him dearly.

To miss his presence and treasure his memories, he leaves his devoted wife and caregiver, Joyce Buxton; grandsons, Dre’Sean Buxton and Najee Oliver; daughter, Brenda M. Buxton; son, Willie (LaTosha) Oliver; sister’s, Caldonia Wimbush, Sally Ellis, Louise Moses, Rose (Clarence) Sharpe; grandchildren, Malcolm D. Reese, D’Angelo (Dominique) Hilliard, Latoya Cohen, Marquize Deckard, and Jasmine Ross; devoted friends, Jesse Pollard and Vonceil Eady, and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral service for James Carl Buxton will be held 11:00am December 27th at the All People
International church 1973 Edgewood Avenue West. The visitation will be December 26th at 5:00pm - 8:00pm TODAY. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries.
