Obituary for Arthur Willard Mincey

Arthur Willard Mincey was born on May 17, 1935 in Lyons, Georgia to the late Lannie and Emma Mincey. He received his education in Valida, Georgia. Arthur gave his life to Christ at an early age and attended Abyssinia Baptist Church, he later joined First Samuel Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. A. Braggs. Arthur worked for Gold Merit until 1969 and later was employed with Anheuser Busch until he retired in 1995.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents Lannie and Emma Mincey. The Lord called Arthur home on Friday, June 5, 2015.

Arthur leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Doris Mincey; daughters, Salasa William, Sarastine Monroe (Michael), Cynthia Hall (Daryl); sons, Johnnie Mincey (Gale), Willard Mincey, Keith Pollard; sister-in-law, Sylvia Hucker; brother-in-laws, Johnny Felton (Virginia), Jesse Felton (Gwen) of Buffalo, New York; nieces, Lucille Dorsey, Alethia Akins, Joyce Simpkin, Francell Burmingham (Albert), Sue Graham (Hardey), Toleda Mincey, Willie-Mae Mobley, Almawie Conway, Emma Shell, Peggy Kelley, Marline Anthony, Julliann Arline, Cynthia Cooper; nephews, Carlos Mobley (Sarah), Roy Mobley (Rena), Royce Mobley (Carrie), Rodney Mincey (Amanda), Michael Mincey, Nathaniel Cooper (Tonya), Orlando Shell, Calvin Mobley (Judy), Lamar Wilson, Roman Mobley (Shirley); and a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.


The funeral service for Arthur Willard Mincey will be held 11AM, Saturday at the Samuel C. Rogers, Jr. Memorial Chapel. The visitation will be 5 - 7PM, Friday at the mortuary.
