Eddie Mae Norris, affectionately known as “Eddie” was born in Georgetown, South Carolina to loving parents, Eddie J. Brown and Maybelle Brown on November 3, 1944. She attended The Howard School Georgetown, at an early age Eddie joined Greater St. Stephen AME Church.

Eddie moved to Florida where she continued her education and her service to the Lord. Eddie was a joyful and kindhearted person who loved talking about her family and the Lord. Her sons and grandchildren were the joy of her life. She was a mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.

Eddie took her eternal rest on Saturday, January 16, 2016 in Jacksonville; FL.

Eddie leaves behind her sons: Seth and Maurice (Valerie); grandchildren, Louis, Aliyah, Kristin, Maurkysha, Sukunyae, Kaleb, Samara, and Maurice Jr.; siblings, Rosland Blount, Darrel Brown, Walter Alston, and Deloris Sykes. Eddie also leaves behind a host of family members and friends to cherish her memory.

The funeral service for Eddie Mae Norris will be held 1:00PM Saturday, January 23rd, 2016 at the Samuel C. Rogers, Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street. The visitation will be 5:00 pm 7:00 pm , Friday, January 22nd, 2016 at the Funerals By T. S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Private.
