Fred Victor Baety was born on December 4, 1941 to the late Reverend Ulysses Baety and Alicia Baety. He was a life long resident of Jacksonville, Florida. Fred dealt with many challenges during his life that prevented him from reaching his full potential; however, his father would spend a lot of time reading and studying the bible with him until he passed away. Fred continued this practice until the Lord called him home. After the death of Fred’s father, his aunt, Thelma Johnson diligently comforted, supported, and cared for him through the years until her health failed and she passed away in 2014 at the age of 96.

Fred departed this life on Monday, January 25, 2016, and was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Ulysses and Alicia Baety; his aunt, Thelma Johnson; three brothers, Ulysses, Jr. Baety, Walter Baety III, and Reginald Baety.

Fred leaves to mourn his passing, three siblings, Edward L. Baety (Patricia), Joseph Baety (Brenda), and Ruth Baety; sister-in-laws, Sue, Vicky, and Gwen; nephews, Jonathan, Christopher, Edward II, Paxton, and Walter George IV; one niece, Joselyn; grand nephews, David, Philip, Edward III (Little E), and Keshaun; grand nieces, London Sky and Miani; several cousins and friends.


The funeral service for Fred V Baety will be held 12:00 pm SATURDAY, at the Samuel C. Rogers, Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N.
