Herman James Felton was born on September 19, 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida to Otis and Candies Felton. He attended the local schools of Duval County and was employed for many years with M & M Waste Management Disposal Company until his retirement.

Herman was a member of Greater Beulah Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Anthony Willis and a member of District No. 3, Minister Willie Turntime, District Leader.

Herman departed this earthly life on Sunday, October 23, 2016 surrounded by his family, Lephus and Otis Felton, and Barbara Gordon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Candies Felton.

Herman leaves memories to be cherished with his sons, Cornell McDuffie, Herman Felton, Jr., and Jarrett Cole; daughters, Ericka Woods, Michele Davis (Timothy); Allison Buie (Christopher), and Debra M. Felton; brothers, Lephus Felton and Otis Felton; sister-in-law, Barbara Gordon; aunt, Mary Felton; devoted friends, Natalie Brooks, Patricia Brooks, King Hartley, and Ronald Brunson; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 am SATURDAY, at the Greater Beulah Missionary Baptist Church, 9550 Ribault Ave. The visitation will be held 5 - 7:00 pm, Friday, at the mortuary.
