Condolences

Condolence From: Gerald Milan
Condolence: Ms. Verleen (Mom) was the sweetest, most generous person I have ever known. Always smiling, Mom would greet every officer at the Jail in the Dining Room by their name and with a smile tell us how good the food was. "It's real good," she would reply to a question about the food. I never heard her complain or say a bad word about anyone or anything. In sickness and in health, she would come to work each day, trying her best to make everyone else's day brighter and better. I can't thank her enough for the years of love she provided to all of us at JSO. May God bless you and keep you in His holy arms.

Condolence: Mom was a diamond in the ruff; she was sunshine on a rainy day. She could make you feel like you could take on the world. Never could understand how she knew everyone’s name, but I guest a loving mother knows all of her children and that is what we were at the Jail (Mom’s children). She will be greatly missed from the present of this life. She was already missed dearly from the Jail when she fell ill. I will always cherish those times spent with her on M6 and I will miss her respond when asked how is the food today, “Real Good, Real Good” She had a way of making the worst taste the best. Take you rest Momma and I know B. Brown was there to greet you with that big smile of hers.

Condolence: "Momma" was one of the sweetest most genuine human being to walk the earth. She never met a stranger and loved everyone she met. She learned your name and knew it from then on and considered You family. She was a refreshing smile to a bad day, a kind word in a moment of stress, she was love, and she loved everyone. God Bless Your Family, and God Bless Momma as She is now walking with Jesus, and lighting up Heaven with her smile. Thank You for Your time in our lives Momma, it was " Real Good"

Condolence: So glad God shared Ms. Verleen (Mama) with us at JSO. She gave good cheer to so many every day she worked with us at the jail, both officers and inmates. Never sad, always sunny even on the worst days. Mama could make the worst, cheapest, most mundane food taste better with just her smile and her favorite saying, "It's good, it's ALL good!"

We could all be so fortunate as to inherit her attitude. What she did made a difference to so many. Blessings, prayers and comfort to her family.
