Rosa Lee Knight was born on February 6, 1938 to James Slaughter and Alene Johnson. She confessed Christ at an early age. Rosa attended the local schools in Jacksonville, Florida. She later met and married Solomon Knight in Georgia and from this union one son, Jerome Knight and daughter, Carolyn Knight was born.

Rosa departed this life on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Solomon Knight; sister, Alberta Williams.

Rosa leaves to mourn her passing: a daughter, Carolyn Knight; son, Jerome Knight; sisters, Betty, Shirley, Patricia, Viola, Stella, and Lucy; brothers, Benny (Johnny Mae), Willie (Tereasa) and Ronnie (Eddie Ruth); grandchildren, Chiquita Knight and Albert Williams; great-grandchildren; Ceiria, Julia and Jamesha; nine great great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Rosa Lee Knight will be held 11:00 am Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street JACKSONVILLE, FL 32206. The visitation will be 5:00 pm 7:00 pm , Friday, May 5th, 2017 at the Funerals By T. S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries.
