Cecillia Melissa Ealy was born in Jacksonville, Florida on October 4, 1947 to Cecil Leroy King and Annie Doris Bridges. She received her education from New Stanton High School. Her careers throughout her life include: A Kindergarten Teacher for First Baptist Church of Oakland; Head Start Teacher with the City of Jacksonville, and retired from NAS Jacksonville Naval Base as a Security Detective.

Cecillia later married James Henry Ealy, from this union a son, Michael and daughter, Michelle was born. (Ellison).

Cecillia departed this life on Saturday, April 29, 2017. She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Leroy King and mother, Annie Doris King.

Cecillia leaves to mourn her passing a son, Michael Z. King; daughter, Michelle D. Ellison (Johnny Ellison); 2 brothers, Rev. Cecil Leon King, Sr. (Katherine King) and Rev. Dr. Rodney Ellis King (Linda Lockman-King); 11 grandchildren; 1 greatgrandchild; 3 nieces, Sakenia L. Frazier, Tijuana L King and Porsha Lockman-King; 3 nephews, Cecil Shy’Ron King, Cecil Leon King Jr. and Cecil Lance King; 1 goddaughter, Santana Holmes; 7 great-nephews and great- nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Cecillia Melissa Ealy will be held 11:00 am Saturday, May 13th, 2017 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street JACKSONVILLE, FL 32206.
