Jerald Melvin "Jerry"  Baker
Jerald Melvin Baker affectionately known “Jerry” was the first-born child of Julius Baker Sr. and Mary Baker. He attended the local schools of Jacksonville and was employed at Beauclerc Manor, later attending the Jacksonville University in food services for several years. Jerry received Christ at an early age, and was baptized at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church (Rev. Overstreet). Jerry was a faithful member of New Life Fellowship Church, under the leadership of Bishop Roland Baker.

Jerald departed this life on Saturday, May 6, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Julius Baker Sr.

Jerald is survived by a loving and caring family: his mother, Mary Baker; six siblings, Shelby Baker, Chauncey Baker (Cynthia), Judy Baker McKeithan (Glenn), Julius Baker Jr., Dorris Braddy (Sissy) of Harrisburg, PA, and Megan Baker; sister/cousin, Evelyn Nesbitt of Poughkeepsie, NY; two aunts, Daisy Tucker and Joyce Foster (Arthur) of Sparta GA; loving nieces and nephews, Ronald Thomas (Eboni), Natasha Watkins, Deondre Clark, Delvron Baker, Iesha and Margret Braddy of Harrisburg, PA; grand nieces and nephews, Roniyah, Morgan, and Karon Thomas; god sisters, Ledia Moore, Tara Hart, Dorzell Cohen and Tracey Patterson; numerous cousins, friends and church family members; especially Rev. Sandra Priester, Bishop Roland Baker and his wife, Rev. Janice Baker, Dr. Nathan Perry and Community Hospice.

The funeral service for Jerald Melvin Baker Jerry will be held 11:00 am Saturday, May 13th, 2017 at the New Life Fellowship Church 1451 Mt. Herman Street Jacksonville, Florida 32209. The visitation will be 5:00 pm 7:00 pm , Friday, May 12th, 2017 at the Funerals By T. S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
