Earle Eugene Gist Jr. AKA (E-JAY) was born November 28, 1982 in Jacksonville, Florida to Vanessa Olivia and Earle Eugene Gist Sr. He graduated from Terry Parker High school in 2002. Earle was part of the R.O.T.C. at Terry Parker. He joined the United States Army in 2004, shortly after joining the military, Earle served in Iraq in 2005 where he received honors for serving in the war.

Earle departed this life on Saturday, May 13, 2017.

Earle is survived by his loving wife, Yvette Gist; a daughter, Annaleise Naleia Gist; son, Landon Tieran Gist, all of San Antonio, Texas; his mother, Vanessa Whgham Dunson (Nathaniel); father, Earle Eugene Gist Sr. (Velma) all of Jacksonville, Florida; 2 brothers, Carlos M. Phillips of Jacksonville, Florida (Angie) and Cody A. Gist Sr. of Charlotte, North Carolina; step brother, Terry Simpo; step sister, Timysha Simpo both of Jacksonville, Florida; in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Jaime Fisher; sister-n-law, Khristine Fisher all of Converse, Texas; Earle also leaves a host of nieces, Kiana, Mya, Cara, Zoe and Sanaa; nephew, Cody A. Gist Jr.; 2 great nieces, 1 great nephew; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
