Biographical Sketch
Lutricia Annette Whetstone lovely called “Pat” by friends and family members was born on September 27, 1941 to Robert James Hastings and Eula Perilo Hastings in Jacksonville, Florida. She was an active member of Abyssinia Baptist church and participated on many committees and auxiliaries giving generously of her time and talents. Lutricia was a great cook and baker. She was famous for her 7-up cake. She also enjoyed traveling, entertaining, shopping and spending time with family and friends. Lutricia could grow anything and had an extraordinary green thumb. Lutricia was a loving mother of eight children, 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Announcement of Death
Lutricia Whetstone passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at 1:45pm to be with her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Carter; three siblings and 1 grandchild. She is survived by Mr. Johnny Higgins, her companion of over 40 years.

Family
Lutricia leaves to cherish her memories: children, George Whetstone (Sarah), Daryl Whetstone (Karen), David Whetstone, Gerri Whetstone, Rose Hunter, Glen Whetstone and Marvette Walden; 14 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren; a loving sister, Betty-Ann Wade; she was loved and survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Lutricia Annette Whetstone will be held 11am SATURDAY, November 4th, 2017 at the Abyssinia Missionary Baptist Church 10325 Interstate Center Drive. The visitation will be 5-7pm, Friday, November 3rd, 2017 at the funeral home. Entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. The repast will be held at Day Spring Baptist Church 5654 Dunn Avenue.
