Obituary for David Bartholomew Williams Sr.

David Bartholomew Williams, Sr. was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Willie Williams, Sr. and Jannie Mae Watkins on October 4, 1956. David retired from the United States Army after serving 16 years. In addition, he had the opportunity to compete in the 1988 United States Olympic Trials (track and field) and received many medals for being an outstanding track runner during his time in the military. David was a dedicated student and graduate at Everest University. He leaves a legacy of love, honor, perseverance, and hard work.

David passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Williams, Sr.

David is survived by his son, David Starr Williams, Jr. (Brittany); daughters, Varena Starlet Gibson (Dustin) and Starrena Sunthre Tapia (Edgar); siblings, Willie H. Williams, Jr., Cynthia Hall (Kenneth), Gloria Buckner (John), Sharon Brown (Walter), Janice Williams, Lolita Miller and Sabrina Belton; a host of other relatives and friends.
