Obituary for Lawrence Bernard McCoy
Lawrence Bernard McCoy was born on March 14, 1970 to Mary McCoy and Frederick B. McCoy in Jacksonville, Florida. Lawrence attended Jean Ribault Senior High School, graduating with the Class of 1988. He worked for Baptist Medical Center for 12 years.
Lawrence departed this life on Friday, November 10, 2017 peacefully at UF Health. By his side was his caring family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary McCoy; father, Frederick B. McCoy; sisters, Priscilla McCoy and Catherine McCoy.
Lawrence leaves to cherish his memories: brothers, Ogden Matthew, Frederick McCoy (Mae) and Lamar McCoy; nephews, Ogden Matthew, Jr., Ernest Walker (Stephanie) and Terrill Hampton (Amelia); nieces, Kentyata Dye (Marcus); sister-in- law, Mae McCoy; a friend, Sheila Varksdale; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
