Condolence From: Brenda Carter Pratt
Condolence: It has been almost a month now since I was told of my brother's death, and I am still in total denial. I constantly reflect on the last time we spent together, the 2017 All School Reunion. I think he enjoyed himself just seeing me enjoy myself. We talked about that time fondly.

My comfort comes from knowing that Melvin is in a deep sleep, he feels no pain, nor does he have anymore worries. (John 11:11, 13-14; Psalm 146:4; Ecclesiastes 9:5 & 10) I find solace in knowing that Jehovah guarantees two destinations for faithful servants resurrected from death-like sleep. (1) Heavenly Life for a little flock of "the holy ones" who will rule over the earth with Jesus. (Daniel 7:27; Revelation 14:1) (2) Earthly Life when God's will is done on earth. Because of the ransom, all faithful humans will be able to live forever in Paradise. (John 3:16; Revelation 22:1-3; Revelation 20:12-13; Revelation 21:3-4; Luke 23:43) Jehovah God decides the destination for each of us. I must remain faithful to the end so that both Melvin and I will be part of Jehovah's Universal Sovereignty. (Matthew 24:13) Must love and respect to all those he leaves behind!

Condolence: We will truly miss our neighbor and friend. I know that we don't have the words to comfort you, but we pray that you will allow the Holy Spirit to comfort you and your family in a way that I know He can and will.

Melvin was such a good and kind hearted man. We truly loved him. He will be greatly missed. May you take comfort in these words knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, and that even though we sorrow, but we sorrow not as those that do not have any hope, for we do know that Melvin will rise again to meet our Lord and Saviour in the Air. We love you so much and know that we will be praying for you and your family.

Condolence: I just want say that I as a person in this large world had the GREAT Pleasure in knowing Melvin Carter! I worked with Melvin at Winn-Dixie for most part on my young adult life, he was a man’s man! He helped shape me into the man I am today by showing me that you due unto others as you would want done unto you. Melvin was a very kind and caring person that would sit down and listen to a issue that you might have and give you advise that only a father could give. There isn’t a day that goes by that he isn’t in my thoughts, I am glad that I was able to call Melvin last year and tell him just how much he meant to me and helped me along the way. I do envy you for being able to have a person like him in your life. I only wish I would have spent more time staying in touch with him. My heart is sadden for your and everyone that was part of his life. His loss is a GREAT LOSS for your Family and the people that he touched so deeply! Garry Wray
