Obituary for Persell Jackson
On Thursday, July 30, 2020, the angel of mercy came and carried away our beloved Persell Jackson, Jr. He was born on August 24, 1944 to the late Jessie Mae Small and Persell Jackson, Sr. His stepfather, George Edward Small also preceded him in death.
Persell was a member of the Class of 1963 at Peck High School in Fernandina Beach, Florida. He went on to join the United States Air Force.
Persell became a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Yulee, Florida at an early age. During his latter years, he restored his membership on August 24, 2014. He served dutifully as an usher until his health began to fail.
Persell was a very giving person. He leaves to cherish his love and memory two children, Danny L. Jackson and Sonja Jackson; one sister, Ora Lee Walthour; four grandchildren, Ashlyn Tianna Jackson, Danee Aryanna Jackson, Kenny Fox, and Aaliyah Mack; one great granddaughter, Kenah Fox; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
The funeral service for Persell Jackson will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 8th, 2020 at the O'neil Cemetery. The visitation will be 5 - 7 PM , Friday, August 7th, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S.
