Obituary for Ahmad Deawon Leroy Merriweather

Ahmad Deawon Leroy Merriweather, a well known eastsider, was born Oct 1, 1983 to Cornett Merriweather and William Robinson. Ahmad became a member of First Baptist of Oakland at a young age under the leadership of Rev. C.B. Daily. Ahmad attended the local schools in Duval County. Ahmad was employed by 3rd Street Market for many years.

Ahmad loved his family and friends. He was a big Gator football fan.

Ahmad slept away into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.

He was preceeded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Louise Merriweather; 1 uncle; 3 aunts; 8 cousins; and best friends, Cornelious Strickland and Tony Brown.

Ahmad leaves to cherish his memories parents, Cornett Merriweather and William Robinson; daughters, Ahnia and Honey Merriweather; son: Tree’Lyn Merriweather; sisters: Tracy Jones (David), Azizi Merriweather, Cornell Merriweather (Lawrence), and Heather Welch; brothers: Kenny Robinson, Alfred Bell, and Xaiver Hayes; nieces: Denisha Allen (Ronoldo), Dakayla Jones, Zoe Long, and Lakiria McCauley; nephews: David, Khalil and Dakoby Jones, Dejuan Gray, Lawrence McCauley, and Alfred Bell Jr.; uncles: James Merriweather, Albert Merriweather (Geraldine), and Cleveland Merriweather; best friends: Fred Williams, James Bell, Alphonso Riley, Louis Pressley, and Eric Pickett; and a host of cousins, family members, and sorrowing friends.
