Albert Martin Hansberry was born on July 20, 1949 to his parents, Evelyn and Albert Martin Hansberry, Sr. in Jacksonville, Florida.

Albert graduated from a Catholic private school and went on to attend college at Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University. To further his endeavors, he joined the United States Marine Corps. After his honorable discharge from the military, he became employed with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and held other various job until he retired.

Albert was very humble and kind. He loved fishing and playing music.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Martin Hansberry, Sr. Albert departed this life on Sunday, March 1, 2020.

Albert is survived by his wife, Lynn Hansberry; children, Melanie Hansberry, Karim Lyon, and Hakim Lyon; step-children, Lyronda Major, Michael Major, and Ronald Callahan; a host of grandchildren (16); siblings, Loretta Hansberry, Anne Hansberry Stockton, Carla Hansberry, Michael Hansberry, and Reginald Hansberry; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
