Obituary for Albert James Patterson

Albert James Patterson was born on June 20, 1943 to Gassie Patterson and Getrude Sherman in Jacksonville, Florida. At an early age, he moved to Williston Florida and went on to graduate from Williston Vocational High School with Honors. After graduation, on July 10, 1961 Albert enlisted in the United States Air Force (USAF), during his tour of duty he was a part of the 81st Squadron Tactical Fighting Wings. It was there he received an ‘Air Force Outstanding Unit Award’ and a ‘Good Conduct Medal’. As well as, a certification for ‘Small Arms Marksmanship’. While in the USAF, he traveled throughout most of the United States and part of Central Europe.
 
After his Honorable discharge from the service, Albert attended Florida Junior College of Jacksonville, where he received certification in Auto Body Repair. He went on to work many years with Operator Engineer as a commercial heavy equipment operator. However, he was most passionate about agriculture. He spent many days taking care of his animals and sharing the harvest of the lands he cultivated.
 
After years of hard work, on May 18, 2018, Albert entered his rest. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Frazier, brother, John Hickson and sister, Gloria Hickson.

Left to always remember Albert is his “Number one girl,” daughter, Christine Frazier; “bonus” son, Wayne (Dino) Grant; daughter-in-law, Michelle Frazier; grandchildren, Micah, Kennedy, Kenneth Jr., Kendrick and “granddaddy’s baby” Bryant; sisters, Vivian Murray, Johnette Batten, Claudette Wright, Darleen Hickson and Kim Hickson; brother, Richard (Cassandra) Patterson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
