Alfred H. Richo, the fifth of seven children born to the late Elliot and Maybell Richo was born on
August 16, 1944 in Fernandina Beach, Fl. Alfred graduated in 1962 from Peck High School where he was
active in Football. After graduation Alfred worked several jobs prior to moving to Newark, Nj where he
worked and retired from General Motors. It was also in New Jersey where he met the love of his life
which he later married the late Annette (Ziegler) Richo.
Alfred had a great passion for the Lord and showed his devotion in his daily walk. A devoted member of
Welcome Baptist Church he was on several auxiliaries and served tirelessly as a Deacon. Devoted to his
walk he did not hesitate to share his testimony, pray, and usher souls unto the Lord.
Alfred was also committed to his family. He did not hesitate to travel the highways to spend Holidays
with his love ones or to be by the side of anyone in need. Alfred was and is love. He was such a
charismatic being who touched the lives of every person he encountered. Alfred spent his retired years
delivering sunshine and smiles with every flower he delivered for Rupp’s Flowers.
To know Alfred is to know love, to experience his friendship is to experience something unforgettable.
He will truly be missed, as never could there ever be another Alfred H. Richo.
He lovingly leaves behind children in which he raised Stacey White, Charlie White Jr; grandchildren
Shaquandah White, Michael Barnes Jr., Dawuan White, Al-Shaquan White; one great-grand Jazmir Ward.

Alfred better known as "Brother" to me. He lived in N.J. he and my parents were friends for many years before they passed away. Sometimes when he would visit Fernandina he would call to say Saundra I'm going home. I miss him already, he had a voice that could calm any situation. Brother rest well...I'm sure Annette and my parents Rochester and Martha were there to Welcome you home.

I will always remember Uncle Alfred for his warm demeanor. He was such a great, family oriented man. He treated his wife and my aunt with so much love. He was such a wonderful son-in-law and brother-in-law. I will be forever grateful for all of this. When I remember him, I will remember him so fondly. Rest in Heaven, Uncle Alfred! We love you!

Uncle Alfred you will be greatly missed. The contagious smile, the giant hug, and the awesome words of encouragement you shared. You always had a smile on your face never ever a negative word always seeing the best in every situation. You were always willing to lend a hand and give of yourself no matter what the situation. You had a very caring, loving and GIANT heart. Jas, Ryan and I will miss you and we will see you on the other side. Well done thy GOOD and FAITHFUL servant. God is well pleased. A giant solider has marched into the pearly gates. Rest well Uncle Alfred. My prayers and condolences to the family. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We know he is resting in the arms of our Lord and savior.
