Mrs. Alma M. Murphy was born February 17, 1929 in Pollard-Escambia to Dennis and Lilly Morgan. She was employed as a homemaker. Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her husband, Elzie Murphy, Jr.; daughter, Annie R. Black; and stepdaughter, Jessie Ruth Dawson.

Mrs. Murphy leaves to cherish her memories, her loving children, Doris J. Starks, Karen L. Lee, Dennis L. Murphy (Antionette), Phyllis F. Graham, Roderick M. Murphy (Norma), and Delacy M. Murphy; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; nephews; nieces; cousins; great nephew; great nieces; adopted sister, Minnie L. Mason; adopted daughters, Kathy Stepherson and Marilyn Evans; and friends and the staff of St. Catherine Laboure Manor.

The funeral service for Alma Murphy will be held at 10:00 am Friday, May 8th, 2020 at the Restlawn Cemeteries 2600 Ribault Scenic Drive Jacksonville, FL 32208. The visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 pm, Thursday, May 7th, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries.
