Obituary for Alphonso Lee Jones
Apostle Alphonso Jones was born December 17, 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida to Bennie Lee and Annie Mae Jones. Apostle Jones was a man of many trades and skills in cement finishing for many years and labored in the ministry for 45 years walking in the office of the Prophet. He spoke into the lives of many and preached at numerous churches in Jacksonville, Georgia and all over.
Apostle Jones married Apostle Corene Jones in 2012 and became the Overseer of God's Ark of Safety. They then established a network of churches called EBWAC in 2015 mentoring and covering pastors and churches in other cities and states.
Apostle Jones has truly finished his course and fought the good fight of faith. He miraculously survived four major surgeries and COVID19 two times while on his life journey....
On Monday March 14, 2022, God called Apostle Alphonso Jones to his eternal home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Mae Hamilton; four aunts, Ruthie Lee Gibbs, Dorothy Mae Smith, Jessie Mae Green, and Emma Lee Porter.
Apostle Jones leaves to mourn and celebrate his life: father, Bennie Lee Jones; wife of eleven years, Corene Jones; four sons by Cheryl, his first wife, Daron Jones (Mary), Jonathan, Erik, oldest son, Alphonso Jr.; two daughters, Angel and Patricia; siblings, Benjamin Hamilton, Bennie Lee Jones Jr., Hollis Jones (Patricia) Winfield Jones (Evelyn); one sister, Diane Saxon; three stepchildren, Ashley, Brianna, Willie and their spouses; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, cousins and friends...
The funeral service for Alphonso Lee Jones will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at the New Life Community Church, 113 West 17th Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. , Friday, March 25th, 2022 at the Gods Ark of Safety Ministries, 113 West 17th Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
