Obituary for Angelia Javan McDonald

Angelia Javan McDonald was born on February 28, 1964 to the late Nathaniel and Susie Mae McDonald in Jacksonville, Florida. As a child she was quick-witted and creative., enjoying music and various crafts. After graduating with honors from Andrew Jackson High School, Angelia received her Nurses Aide Certification, landing her a job with St. Jude’s Hospital. In 1988, Angelia welcomed her only child, Deja Simone Chambers whom she love dearly, and did her best to give her the world. She later pursued a career in banking, gaining employment with Jax Navy Credit Union/VyStar Credit Union, operating as a Help Desk Manager until she retired.

Angelia served as a missionary and web designer for Gleaners for Christ Ministries, she stayed very active in her church and community.

Angelia departed this life Monday, March 11, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Michael McDonald and Mitchell McDonald.

To Angelia, the greatest gift in the world was her family. She is survived by her daughter, Deja Chambers (Vernesha); siblings, Carlton Pringle (Theresa), Leonard McDonald, Anita Jones (Roosevelt), Dexter McDonald, Deborah McDonald and Vanessa McDonald; aunt, Jean Young; 21 nieces and nephews; 35 great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.


The funeral service for Angelia Javan McDonald will be held 1:30PM, Saturday, March 16th, 2019 at the All People International Church 1973 Edgewood Avenue West.
