Obituary for Anthony Brown

Anthony Brown, affectionally known as “Brown”, was born on June 1st, 1931 in Wadley, Georgia to his parents, the Late Elbert Brown and the Late Lula Mae Dixon Brown. Mr. Brown confessed Christ in his hometown of Wadley, Georgia at an early age.   

Mr. Brown was a retired employee of The Jacksonville Shipyards for 36 years.  He loved reading his bible and watching the church programs, along with looking at his black and white viewing of Shoot’em Up (westerns) television shows, that’s what he called them on TV.  He loved talking and spending time with his family and friends. Also enjoyed fishing, grilling barbecue with family and friends along with doing any type of work before his illness. Mr. Brown always had love for everyone he met and had a warm, loving and giving heart, especially to his family.

Mr. Brown leaves to mourn his passing:
daughters, Diane Razor and Linda (Sheldon) Samuels;
son-in-law, Sheldon Samuels;
stepson and stepdaughter, Willie C. Ross and Alice M. Ross; grandchildren, Erica Razor, Tyneshia Stephens, Rudolph (Bill) Terry, Markese (Kesee) Razor, Earl Ross, Shenita (Keith) Brown, Willie Bo Ross (April), Natalie (Kelly) Taylor;
brothers, John (Gladis) Brown and James (Mattie) Brown;
sisters, Nellie Brown and Arnita (Franklin) Rogers;
brother-in-law, Franklin Rogers;
sisters-in-law, Mattie Brown and Gladis Brown;
and a number of great grandchildren along with some great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends; and close friends and buddies, Mr. Charles Combs and Mr. Al Pinkney.
