Obituary for Antwanna Shenell Swain

Antwanna Shenell Swain the daughter of Audrey J. Walden and Leonard Swain, was born on July 26, 1974 in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from Forrest High School and attended Florida Community College at Jacksonville. Antwanna was employed by the City of Jacksonville. She was a devoted member of Paxon Revival Center Church, where the Rev. Steve Dobbs was her pastor.

Antwanna had such a peaceful and calm spirit. She had a heart of gold and was loved by all who knew her. Her faith in God was unwavering. She chose to live her life happy, bloom where her spiritual roots were planted, and let God fight her battles. She believed in Him for her every need.

On Friday, June 28, 2019, God answered her prayers and gave her complete healing and welcomed her with open arms to her new home in heaven. Antwanna was preceded in death by her son, Abdul Miller Jr.; maternal grandmother, Ruth E. Jackson, and paternal grandparents, Christine and Andrew Swain.

Antwanna leaves to cherish her memories: sons, DeAndre Dawkins Sr. (Breanna), DreShawn Dawkins, and Andre Dawkins Jr; parents, Audrey J. Walden (Timothy) and Leonard Swain; sisters, April M. Jackson, Patrice Walden (Adam), Shenell N. Patterson, Melanie Jackson (Vernon); brothers, Harold C. Brown Sr. and Leonard Frank Swain; grandson, DeAndre Dawkins Jr; nieces, Taneka, Troyelle, Audrey, Anderekia, Ashley, Jadira, Anila, Journey, Sage, and Nevaeh; nephews, Harold (Courtney) Brown Jr., Ahzaia, and James; aunts, Linda Collymore, Ida Donald, Rosemary Smiley, Ali Greene, Angeline Lamb, Sharon Hall (Clinton), Lena Montgomery, Keisha Robinson (Dedric), Pearl Cole (Eugene), Clara Cobb-Watson; uncles, Eddie Swain, Charlie Swain (Jackie), and Alphonso Swain; godmother, Rachel Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Antwanna Shenell Swain will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 6th, 2019 at the Paxon Revival Center Church 5461 Commonwealth Avenue Jacksonville, FL 32254. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Friday, July 5th, 2019 at the Funerals By T. S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Town and Country Cemetery.
