Sis. Aretha Constance Lewis was born on September 24, 1926, in Jacksonville, Florida to Mr. and Ms. Raymond Lewis. She confessed Christ in 1979, uniting with Northside Church of Christ, where she was baptized by Bro. Charlie E. McClendon. Aretha attended the local schools in Duval County.

Sis. Aretha married the late Mr. George Benjamin in the early 60s. She worked in the food service department at St. Luke Hospital for 23 years before retiring.

Sis. Aretha leaves to cherish her loving memories, one son, Robert M. Lewis; one granddaughter, Robin M. Lewis; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends. Devoted friends, Sis. Gloria Griffin, Bro. Donald Senior and Sis. Marcia Ellison.

The funeral service for Aretha Constance Lewis will be held 11AM, Saturday, June 1st, 2019 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street.
