Obituary for Arlisia Lorraine Jones

Arlisia Lorraine Jones, affectionately known as Lorraine, was born in Jacksonville, Florida on July 1, 1971 to her parents, Annie L. Schuman and Jerald L. Schuman Sr. (A. Green). She accepted Christ at an early age and later joined Celebration Church, where she served faithfully with the Breakthrough Healing Ministry, the Full Tech Arts Team, where she arranged the multimedia projections, lights and music for worship services and the Care Ministry. God gifted Lorraine with many talents, she graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, Class of 1989 and received her Bachelor of Business Administration Management in 2012.

Lorraine had a calling on her life to mentor young people and worked as a director of various daycare centers before deciding to teach troubled teens. Serving as a teacher in Duval County Public Schools she was able to fulfill her calling at the Pace Center for girls and The Youth Crisis Center.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her father, Jerald Schuman, Sr.; and godson, Thomas Caldwell.

Lorraine leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Annie L. Schuman; godson, Dorian Harmon; 1 sister, Brenda Johnson Chatman (Gregory); 3 brothers, Curtis Stafford (Cassandra), Apostle Spencer Stafford (Irma), and Jerald Schuman, Jr.; uncle, Ira Stafford (Kathy); aunts, Jean Johnson (Bruce) and Carol Stafford; nieces, Candace Wallace (Cassius), Brenee’ Johnson Fleming (Melvin), Courtney Stafford, and Blaire Johnson; nephews, Christopher Stafford (Artesha), Alex Stafford and Corday Stafford; as well as godchildren, Bradley Parks and Destiny Thomas; best friends, Kyronda Thomas, Janice McMiller, Heather Watson, Ndeeo Hicks, Sandy Curry, and Barbara Young; and a host of extended family members and friends.

The funeral service for Arlisia Lorraine Jones will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 11th, 2020 at the Celebration Church Orange Park Campus 512 Kingsley Avenue Orange Park, FL 32073. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Thursday, September 10th, 2020 at the Holy Church of the Living God 1598 West 14th Street Jacksonville, FL 32209. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
