Arthur Lee Green, age 92, entered peaceful rest on Friday, April 1, 2022.
Arthur Lee Green was born June 26, 1929 in Desoto, Georgia to Arthur Lee Green, Sr. and Anne Brantley Green. His mother passed when his brother and he were young children. Being blessed with loving grandparents, he was raised by Stoman and Lillie Brantley in Albany, Georgia.
In 1947, he moved to Jacksonville, Florida after graduating from High School.
Arthur retired from Duval County School Board after 25 years as a maintenance supervisor.
Arthur was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Lee Green, Sr.; his mother, Anne Brantley Green; his wife, Juanita Randolph Green; and daughter, Burrell “Nita” Williams.
Arthur was a loving, dedicated and outstanding father and grandfather.
Arthur had a good memory and he loved to talk.
Arthur was a hiker for Daylight Grocery and Premier Meats, something he loved doing. He also loved going to the Dog Track, being a handy man, and working on cars. He was also a Jacksonville Jaguars fan.
However, most important of all, he was a beloved husband, father, “Granddad” and great-granddad to family who will sorely miss him.
