Obituary for Arthur James Jenkins

Arthur James  Jenkins
Arthur James “Bo” Jenkins. Journey began on October 28, 1975 in Jacksonville, Florida to Betty Jean Jenkins and Roosevelt Lorenzo Byrd. He attended the local schools of Duval County, graduating from William M. Raines High School, Class of 1993. Arthur played football and earned a full scholarship to University of North Florida (UNF).

Bo grew up as a member of Love Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Timmons.

Bo was an avid fan of the Miami Hurricanes. He loved music, football and basketball. One of his favorite past times was learning about other cultures.

Bo was employed with the City of Jacksonville for several years. He was also employed in Lawton, Oklahoma with Swanson’s Inc. as a server where he rendered many years of dedicated service.

Bo transitioned from this earthly life on Monday, June 4, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father, Roosevelt Byrd; grandmother, Willie Bell Allen; brother, Freddie Lee Brown.

Bo leaves to cherish his memories: daughters, Asah Johnson, Kenya Jenkins and India Jenkins; mother, Betty Jean Jenkins; siblings, Montemus Jenkins (Betty), Charlotte Garner, Yvonne Kyles (Ernest), Reginald Jenkins (Laura), Aaron Jenkins, Lisa Jenkins and Kimberly Kennerly (James); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, classmates and friends.
