Obituary for Arthur Simmons Jr.
Arthur Simmons, Jr., “Junior”, was born Christmas evening in Jersey City, N.J on December 25, 1965. He attended the local schools of Duval County, graduating from Ribault Senior High School in Jacksonville, Florida. After graduating from high school, Arthur joined the United States Marine Corps, and completed four years of military service. He previously worked at Parliament Building Products Incorporated. There, he developed a few long lasting friendships.
Arthur was a former member of the House of God Saints in Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Lorenzo Moore and Solid Rock Deliverance Holiness Church, under the leadership of Bishop John E. Shingles. On various occasions, he would visit First Deliverance Holiness Church of Jacksonville with his mother.
Arthur departed this life on Saturday, July 18, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Simmons, Sr. and stepfather, Deacon Johnny Dassie, Sr.

The funeral service for Arthur Simmons, Jr. will be held 10:00 am Friday, July 31st, 2020 at the Samuel C. Rogers, Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, Florida 32206. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Thursday, July 30th, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Jacksonville National Cemetery.
