Obituary for Bernice Gregg (Roberson)
Bernice Roberson Gregg 73, of St. Petersburg, Florida, transitioned peacefully the evening of April 12th in Jacksonville, FL. She is survived by her daughters, Monai Gregg-Stephens and Karmen Gregg Crowder and her grandson Quentin Lee Gregg Stephens. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents George W. Roberson and Mae Alice Roberson, and oldest brother Willie B. Holmes.
Bernice was born in Belle Glade, Florida July 7th 1947 and had four older brothers, Willie B. Holmes, Ulyssee Holmes, James Edward Holmes and Oscar Roberson. Bernice was the youngest and the only girl.
When Bernice was a young child, the family moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. Bernice attended 16th Street Middle School and graduated from Gibbs High School in 1965. Bernice was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist church. Bernice married Ronald E. Gregg and they had two daughters together.
Bernice went on to work at GTE, now Verizon for almost 30 years as a Switchboard Operator. She was a long time member of the Dynamic 20’s Social Club. Bernice loved to travel and dance as often as she could. As an active member of the Dynamic 20’s, she was able to do both often.
In 2012, Bernice relocated to Atlanta, to live with her daughter Karmen. In March 2021, Bernice was with her daughter Monai, until she gained her heavenly wings. Bernice will live on in our hearts and will be missed dearly.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 30th at 1:00 p.m. at the Funerals by T.S. Warden - Samuel C. Rogers, Jr. Memorial Chapel, 4315 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206.
