Obituary for Betty Jean Holmes (Williams)

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. ~ 1 Corinthians 15:20

Betty Jean Williams was born in Jacksonville, Florida on November 13, 1947. She attended schools in Duval County and graduated in 1965 from Stanton High School. There she enjoyed being a cheerleader and majorette in the band.

Betty later married and divorced. Out of her union, she had two children: Marlo and Darrell Holmes.

During her life, she was employed 32 years at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida. She was also a small business owner of BJ Floral Designs. In doing so, at times, she donated floral arrangements as gifts. Her joy was her beloved nine grandchildren.

Betty departed this life on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. She leaves to cherish beautiful memories her children, Marlo (Stanley) Jackson and Darrell (Santana) Holmes; grandchildren: Stanley Jackson Jr., Brittanii (Jeffrey) Germain, Jordan Holmes, Ersell Smith, JaQuan Holmes, Matthew Fluellen, Makayla Fluellen, and Marquese Fluellen; and great-grandchild, Trinity Germain.
