Mr. Carol Monroe Williams, Sr. was born July 26, 1925 to the late Jessie Williams and Mable Williams in Guinea Virginia. Preceding him in death was his devoted wife, Sara F. Williams; three siblings: two brothers, Elwood Williams and Willie Williams, and one sister, Thelma Coleman. He received his education in the public schools of Caroline County Virginia.
After completing his education, he enlisted into the United States Navy and retired after twenty-three years of service. After retiring from the Navy, he later joined the United States Army Corps of Engineers and retired after sixteen years of service. Mr. Williams was a member of Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
On Monday, July 13, 2020 our loving father was called home to be with the Lord.
He leaves to cherish his memory five children: Barry Williams (June), Angela Williams, Carl M. Williams, Jr. (Sondra), Pamela Williams, and Anthony Williams; two grandchildren, Javacia Williams Floyd and Gary B. Blaylock (Destyni); three great grandchildren; one cousin, Esther Coleman; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Carol Monroe Williams, Sr. will be held at 10:00 am Monday, July 20th, 2020 at the Evergreen Cemetery 4535 Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32208. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
