Carolyn was born in Jacksonville, Florida on June 24, 1944 to Eddie S. Dean and Elizabeth S. Davis. She attended the local schools in Duval County and completed her education at Old Stanton High School. Carolyn has one son, Samuel and two daughters, Ronnette and Pamela.

Carolyn departed this life on Friday, July 13, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie S. Dean and Elizabeth S. Davis and a sister, Ava Marie Harris.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories: son, Samuel A. Walker (Cynthia); daughters, Ronnette Walker, Pamela Grey; grandchildren, Samuel (Britany), Brandon, Traci (Josh), Justin, Kim, Keish, Korey (Caresha) and Adrian; great grandchildren, 10 boys and 8 girls; special friends, Sue, Flo, Belinda and Trisha; a host of other relatives and friends.
