Cedric Thurone Stewart was born July 9, 1972 to William A. Stewart and Shirley A. Gordon in Jacksonville, Florida. He received his formal education in the local Duval County Public Schools and graduated from William M. Raines High School, Class of 1990.

Cedric met and married Tanya Smith on June 6, 1998. To this union was born one daughter, Alanna Stewart.

Cedric departed this life on Thursday, February 20, 2020. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley A. Gordon.

Stewart; brother, James Green; aunts, Doris (Thomas) Sutton and Marilyn Evans; uncle, Alfred (Gailya) Stewart; cousins, Roderick (Nesha) Stewart, Marcus (ShaRhonda) Stewart, Mona (Derrick) Norris, Damian Stewart, Derrick Stewart, Michael Stewart, Erin Lanier, Michael (Renee) Smith, Jimmie (Katrina) Harrell, and Walter Holt; cousin/godson, Jarrod Stewart; father and mother-in-love, Marvin and Jeanette Smith; brothers-in-love, Garrett Jordan and Alonzo (Cindy) Williams; sister-in-love, Terrelle Smith; niece, Tiara Jordan; nephews, Trey and AJ; godchildren, Jacari and Jasmine Exson; and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Cedric Thurone Stewart will be held 11am Friday, February 28th, 2020 at the Bethel Baptist Institutional Church 215 Bethel Baptist Street Jacksonville, FL 32202. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Thursday, February 27th, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries.
