Charles Evans was born on January 12, 1960 to the late Guy Evans, Sr. and the late Beatrice Gathers Evans. He was baptized at an early age while attending Mount Ararat Baptist Church.He graduated from Stanton Senior High School, Class of 1978.
Charles retired from Canam Steel as a welder.
On Tuesday, August 16, 2022, God called Charles home. Charles was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Evans; paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents; and one brother, Guy Evans Jr.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Stephanie Evans; sons, Charles Evans, Jr. (Valicia) of Jacksonville, Florida, Antwan Evans of Brunswick, Georgia, Corey Evans (William) of San Diego, California, Vincent Evans, and Bruce King, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; daughters, Charquisha Evans of Jacksonville, Florida and Sakeria Brown of Jacksonville, Florida; sisters, Barbara Larke (Johnnie) of Heph, Georgia, Shirley Evans and Regina Hunter of Jacksonville, Florida; brother, Gary Evans of Jacksonville, Florida; thirteen grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
