Ms. Cheryl Theresa Elbert was born on May 17, 1963 to Mary Alice and James Elbert in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the local schools in Duval County and was a proud graduate of Jean Ribault Sr. High School, Class of 1981.

Cheryl then attended Jones College and earned her degree as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1986. She was a dedicated volunteer at Moncrief Elementary School and worked several years in dietary for Pine Estate Elementary School. She was also a dedicated employee at Taylor Care Nursing Home, where she worked prior to her illness. Cheryl accepted Christ at a young age and was a faithful member of Believers of Christ Temple Ministries.

Cheryl departed this life on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mrs. Ruth Wade; father, James Elbert and a niece, Jacqueline Elbert.

Cheryl leaves to cherish her loving memory: mother, Mary Elbert-Priester; stepfather, Herman Priester; children, Mario Elbert and Sherika Elbert Murray; grandchildren, Shazijyah and Ennoscence; brothers, James (Gale) and Anthony (Tracye); sister, Janice (William); nieces, Stannisha, Bianca, O'terra, Brandii, Shatia; nephew, Anthony Jr; great nephews, Zaihyon, Damien and Rashid; aunts, Bernice, Ernestine (Paul), Ruth Ann, Hattie and Idella (Bruce); uncles, Cornellious (Toni) and Isaac (Kim); a devoted goddaughter, Latoya White and a host of sorrowing cousins and friends.

The funeral service for CHERYL THERESA ELBERT "BOLEG" will be held 11AM, Saturday, January 13th, 2018 at Funerals by T. S. Warden - Samuel C. Rogers, Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street.
