Mrs. Chonda Laverne Emery was born on June 22, 1976 to her mother, Cynthia L. Harris in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended Duval County Public Schools graduating from Andrew Jackson High School.
Chonda was employed with MV Transportation for six years. She later met and married Mr. Michale O. Emery on December 15, 2018.
Chonda departed this life on Saturday, May 30, 2020. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ms. Louise Harris. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Michale O. Emery; mother, Cynthia L. Harris; stepchildren, Michael and Malcom Odoms; her baby, Bella Emery; 2 sisters, Kenneisha and Ashley; 2 nieces, Ashonna and A’Kahriya; nephew, Janaurs; mother-in-law, Mrs. Betty L. Emery; father-in-law, Mr. Orlando Emery; 3 uncles, Albert, Joe, and Bobby; aunt, Mary Harris; 2 brothers-in-law, Paul Emery and William (Bernisha) Robinson; a host of cousins; 3 lifelong friends, Uran Johnson, Shauntell Stewart, and Monique Widemond; and loving godparents, Mr. Johnny and Kathy Brunson
The funeral service for Chonda Laverne Emery will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 6th, 2020 at the Queen Esther Church of God 1747 Mc Quade St Jacksonville, FL 32209. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Friday, June 5th, 2020 at the Queen Esther Church of God 1747 Mc Quade St Jacksonville, FL 32209. Interment in Evergreen.
