Mrs. Clara Mae Hughes Toliver was born on June 9, 1934 in Saint Augustine, Florida to the late Willie Hughes and Fannie Perkins. She attended the local schools in Oviedo, Florida.

Clara was married to Mr. Joshua Toliver, Sr. and to this union 11 children were born.

Clara departed this life on Sunday, June 7, 2020. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister; husband, Joshua Toliver, Sr.; two sons, Raymond and Allen; and one daughter, Vineta.

Clara is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Regina Toliver Owens, Mrs. Fannie Simmons, Mrs. Daphne Wheaton, and Ms. Pamela Toliver; four sons, Mr. Eugene Toliver, Mr. Calvin Baker, Mr. Joshua Toliver, Jr., and Mr. Clyde Toliver; 18 grandchildren, Reginald, Kenneth, and Darrius Toliver, Michael Willis, James and Keanu Owens, Bernard Toliver, Kevin Davis, Richard, Jeffrey and Andrew Wheaton, Nicole Baker, Kendell Toliver, Christopher, LaShauna, Morris, Richard, Dominque (Zy), and Tennira Toliver; 43 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, including special friend, Mr. Capus Chester.

The funeral service for Clara Mae Toliver will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 20th, 2020 at the Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church 2407 S.L. Badger Jr. Circle, E. Jacksonville, FL 32209. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Friday, June 19th, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries.
