Connie Lou Conage was born in Georgetown, South Carolina on September 18, 1955 to Daisy Hill and Henry Bell, Sr. She attended the local schools in Jacksonville, graduating from Fletcher Senior High School. She later met and married Bruce B. Conage on January 22, 1999 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Connie departed this life on June 16, 2019. She was preceded in death by her mother, Daisy Hill; father, Henry Bell, Sr.; son, Arthur J. Merchant, Jr.; sister, Loretha Bell; brothers, James Bellamy and Joseph Bell.

Connie leaves to cherish memories: her husband, Bruce Conage; daughters, Sharene Merchant, Nia Merchant; stepdaughter, Stephanie Robinson; stepson, Bruce Conage, Jr.; grandchildren, Rasheka, Marquis Jamesha, Hussein, Kareema, Hakeem, Keith, Zion, Dentrell and Makai; great-grandson, Marquis Ford Jr.; brother, Henry Bell; nieces, Tijuan and Caretha Bell; nephew; Anthony Bell; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Connie Lou Conage will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 22nd, 2019 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Friday, June 21st, 2019 at the Funerals By T. S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Private Interment.
