Cornelious Way, Jr. was born on April 3, 1945 to Cornelious and Ruth Way in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended Long Branch Elementary and Matthew W. Gilbert schools. Cornelious was a member of Redeem Baptist Church. Cornelious later met and married Barbara Thompson

Cornelious departed this life on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Cornelious Way; sister, Barbara Way; brothers, Joseph Way, Leroy Way, Anthony Way and Larry Smith.

Cornelious leaves to cherish loving memories: his daughters, Marva Chinn and Melody Gissentanner; son, Anthony Jay (Denitra); stepson, Antonio Reese (Karetta); brothers, Willie Way, Gregory Smith (Debbie) and Roderick Smith (Sharon); sisters, Wilhlemenia Savage and Linda Quarterman (Paul); grandchildren, DeAndre, Imari, Terrance, Bruce, Brian, Brandon, Bruce Jr., Derick, Antonio, Antonio Jr. and William; nine great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Cornelious Way Jr. will be held 11:00 am TUESDAY(TODAY), June 19th, 2018 at the Samuel C. Rogers, Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N.
