Obituary for Curtis Roberts Sr.

Mr. Curtis Roberts, Sr. was born on May 29, 1940 in Jacksonville, Florida to Lary Winston Jones and Cleveland Jones.

Curtis became a Christian, accepting Christ as his Savior at an early age. Before he became challenged in his health, he was an active member in his church. He also played a pivotal role in his alma mater, Matthew Gilbert Class Reunion for over 20 years. He retired from the Glidden Plant in 1984, but decided he was not done yet; and worked as a security guard at Shands Hospital for a while, officially retiring in 2010.

Curtis was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 10, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mrs. Mary G. Roberts; son, Michael L. Green; and brother, Milford Roberts;

Curtis leaves to cherish his wonderful memories: his two sons, Curtis Roberts, Jr. (Louise) and Anthony J. Roberts (Corinna); daughter, Wanda Green; daughter-in-law, Diane Green; brother, Hal Roberts; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends of many years. He will be missed by all.
