Sister Daisy Bell Brown (72) was born on December 23, 1947 in Kingstree, South Carolina to the Late Robert and Aleane Brown. Her mother, Aleane, passed at an early age and Daisy was raised by the Late Elease Brown Jacobs.
She attended Pine Forest Community School and graduated with the Class of 1966. After graduation, she moved to New York and attended Pace University, New York. After completion of college, she was employed at Chemical Bank in New York as an Executive Secretary and retired from Chase Bank. Upon returning to Florida, she worked for the Jacksonville City Council. Later, she joined her son, Gregory, and the Late Sherry Blue in business with the “Make It Happen Bail Bond Company”.
Sister Daisy joined Greater Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church at an early age under the pastorage of the Late Rev. C. W. Whitten. Upon moving back home, she re-connected to the GMP Church Family under the pastorage of the Late Pastor Emeritus Rev. C. J. Brown, former Pastor Rev. Charles E. Williams, Jr., and currently, Pastor Reginald Edwards, Sr.
Preceded her in death her parents; brother, Louis Brown; sisters, Dorothy Mae Brown and Mary Davis; and daughter-in-law, Sherry Blue.
Daisy leaves to cherish her sweet and precious memories, a lifelong partner Leon Blue; a loving son, Gregory Blue; daughter-in-law, Monique Blue; 3 grandsons, Brandon Blue, Gregory Blue, Jr., and Grant Blue; siblings, Leonard (Lillian) Brown, Johnny (Lula) Brown. and sister Nedora (Larry) Blue; aunt, Margaret Brown; uncles, Herbert Woods and Dea. Laverne Wright; nephews, Brett, Johnny, Patrick, Louis Jr., Adrian, and Rodney; nieces, Robin, Bernadette, and Shiona; and a host of cousins, friends, and co-workers.
