Obituary for Daisy Mae Denmark (Montgomery)

Her Story
On August 23, 2022, at 12:12pm the Matriarch of our family gained her beautiful wings.

Daisy Mae Montgomery was born February 14, 1924, to the late Oscar and Jenny Montgomery in Madison County, Florida, Daisy was the 3rd of 11 children. She attended the public schools in Madison where one of her classmates was the Late Mr. Ray Charles. Singing in the choir was one of the things she enjoyed. She gave her life to Jesus Christ at an early age where she continued in life as a devout Christian believer.

Later in her short-lived teen life, Daisy Mae meets this handsome gentleman by the name of Aaron Denmark; they dated a short time, and she was married at the age of 16 in 1940. While this union of love and devotion took place, so did the birth of twelve children as she would always say she never knew what teen age life was, but she loved her life! Daisy Mae and her family eventually moved to Jacksonville, Florida due to a change in her husband's job on the railroad. She continued to raise her family while her husband worked. One of their favorite past times was to watch wrestling and animal shows.
This union of marriage graced a total of 55 years until the passing of Aaron, emotionally known as “A” to her, in 1995.

Daisy Mae was preceded in death by her husband Aaron Sr, Sons James, Eddie, Henry Sr, and Daughter Ruby L. Collier.

She leaves to cherish and carry on the beautiful memories to her seven children; Aaron Jr, Raymond, Annie Jenkins, Frank, Lorenzo, Joyce Choice ( Michael Sr) & Gwendolyn Bryant ( Douglas Sr.). 35 Grandchildren, 128 Great-Grandchildren and 51 Great-Great Grandchildren. Sisters; Jenny Cannidy, Evelyn McNair and Parthenia Marshall.
A Host of Family and Friends.
