Ms. Dalonkeiya LaQuesha Floyd, lovingly known as “Keiya” began her journey July 1, 1985. She was born at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, Virginia to Roslyn Floyd Harrell and the late Alonzo Cook.

Keiya loved to attend church at a very early age. As she continued to blossom into a lovely young lady, so did her relationship with Christ. Keiya loved being an active member of Impact Church Jacksonville.

Keiya graduated from Camden County High school in Kingsland, Georgia as a proud Camden County Wildcat. Her love for the game of basketball led her to play all four years in high school which included going to the final four her Junior year. Always striving to exceed her own expectations, she attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) to pursue her dreams of becoming a FAMU Rattler. Keiya shined as a FAMU Rattler excelling in her academic studies where she graduated Summa Cum Laude earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice & Psychology. Keiya allowed her passion of helping families and teens serve as her platform. She was employed with the Okaloosa County Youth Academy in Crestview, Florida, the Methodist Home in Saint Mary’s, Georgia and her current employer, the Jewish Family and Community Services, serving as a Family Service Counselor in Yulee, Florida. In her off time Keiya loved spending time with her son, her family, traveling and shopping. Keiya never met a stranger, her infectious smile and personality was a beacon of light to many.

Keiya began her walk into eternal life on Friday, July 14, 2017. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carey and Earline Floyd, Joe and Pearlie Harrell and Ernest and Lila Mae Cook; five uncles and three aunts.
