Obituary for Delores Duffee

Delores McNair Duffee was granted her angel wings on January 9, 2021. Mrs. Delores Duffee was born May 9, 1932, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Jacob and Ella Barnes McNair. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Ella Barnes McNair; husband, Ervin Bill Duffee and sister, Jacquelyn Billinger.

Mrs. Duffee attended Old Stanton High School class of 1952.

Mrs. Duffee was a member of the Morning Star Chapter, Number 64 Order of Eastern Star. Additionally, Mrs. Duffee was a member of Rabia Court #25 of Imperial Court, An Auxiliary to the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order since 1975. Mrs. Duffee has been a faithful and lifelong member of Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Duffee is survived by her daughters, Delores McArthur (Benny), and Toykia Keyes; sister, Doris McNair Rutledge; sister-in-law, Alberta Duffee; brothers-in-law, Ed Duffee and Herman Amos; grandchildren, JoDee Harris, Clarence Williams (Delvinna) and Faraja Keyes; great-grandchildren, Cierra Kirkland, Eric Harris Jr., Jamal Williams, Jason Williams, TaeJae Williams and Christian Williams. Mrs. Duffee is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Godchildren, Michelle Stewart and Eddie Davis; special friends, Barbara Tukes, Ann Blackshear, Ruth McNair, Patricia Harrell and the Edwards family.


The funeral service for Delores McNair Duffee will be held 10:00 am Saturday, January 16th, 2021 at the Greater New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, 195 Tallualah Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32208. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 15th, 2021 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden, 4315 North Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
