Obituary for Donnie B Lizzmore

Ms. Donnie B. Lizzmore affectionately known as “Polly” was born August 25, 1944 to Charlie and Pearl Benton in Shellman, Georgia. She attended the local schools there, graduating from Shellman Vocational High School, Class of 1962. Donnie confessed Christ at an early age and attended Union Baptist Church, after relocating to Jacksonville, Florida, she faithfully served at St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Ernie L. Murray, Sr.

Donnie departed this life peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Pearl Benton; brothers, Lester Benton, Albert E. Benton, Charlie Benton Jr., and Theotis Benton; sisters, Ruby Wilcox and Minnal Wingate; brothers-in-law, Reverend Edward J. Fowler, II, Barney Wingate and Jimmy Hardy; sisters-in-law, Maggie Benton, Gladys Benton and Mary Lee Benton.

Donnie leaves beautiful memories with her daughter, Alfredia D. Lizzmore; sons, Alvoyd J. Lizzmore, II (Chuckie) and Dexter B. Lizzmore; grandson, Charod A. Lizzmore; sisters, Lillian Fowler, Mildred Hardy and Dorothy James; brothers, Carlton Benton and Silas Benton; sister-in-law, Mae Thelma Benton; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Donnie B. Lizzmore’s “SMILE” will be greatly missed and always cherished by all who knew and loved her.

The funeral service for Donnie B. Lizzmore will be held 11:00 am Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 at the St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church 5863 Moncrief Road Jacksonville, FL 32209. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Friday, November 1st, 2019 at the Funerals By T. S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
