Dorothy Margaret Anderson
Doris Margaret Anderson was born on December 10, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Maggie Anderson. Doris attended the Duval County School System, graduating from Stanton High School, she later attended Cortes Peters College, and moved on to Howard University, in Washington DC. Doris settled in Washington and worked for the government, where she traveled overseas many times, she worked for approximately forty-three years before retiring and returning to Jacksonville, Florida.

Doris knew the Lord at an early age, she loved going to church and serving the Lord. Her mother, Maggie and sister, Elouise was always a special part of her life, and loved dearly. Doris was a giver, she always donated to different charities.

Doris attended church, until she couldn’t get around due to her illness, but even then, she always had her bible, and prayed.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Sr. and Maggie Anderson; two brothers, James and Clyde Jr.; one sister, Elouise.

Doris leaves to mourn two brothers, Fred Anderson (Marilyn) and Gary Anderson; niece, Sylinda; special cousins, Johnnie and Francis whom took special cared of Doris; special cousin, Dollie Simms; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral service for Doris Margaret Anderson will be held 1PM, Saturday, July 15th, 2017 at the Funerals By T. S. Warden - Samuel C. Rogers, Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street. The visitation will be 5 - 7PM , Friday at the mortuary. Interment in Edgewood Cemetery. Please sign the family guest book and view the video tribute @ www.tswarden.com.
