Obituary for Douglas Dupree Parker

“A Time To Be Born”
The beautiful life of Mr. Douglas Dupree Parker (Doug) was born on November 24, 1968 in Clewiston, Florida to Virginia Chancellor and the late Woodrow Parker. Douglas attended local public schools in Panama City, Florida.

“A Time To Die”
On May 9, 2021, Douglas was called home to the Lord. God called his beloved son, brother, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was preceded in death by Juanita White (grandmother), Woodrow Parker (father), Hawana Chancellor (brother) and sadly many aunts, uncles, nephews and cousin.

“A Time To Mourn”
Douglas was very loving and family oriented; he always made sure to greet his loved ones with a hug and depart with an “I love you”. His legacy of love and memories will be forever cherished by Virginia Chancellor (mother); D’won Parker, Dareus Bradley, and Douglas Parker Jr. (sons); Dasia Parker (daughter); Lefonda Simmons (Corey), Elliott Sheffield, Deshon Sheffield, Teirjuana Brown (Nathaniel), and Jeffrey Robinson (siblings); a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many sorrowing friends including a special devoted friend, Pamela Williams; Douglas also leaves behind extended family members, Simmons and Kemp.

The funeral service for Douglas Dupree Parker will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 at the Floradale Faith Holiness Church, 2808 Buckman Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32206. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 21st, 2021 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden, 4315 North Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries South.
