Mrs. Earnestine Robinson was born December 7, 1936 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late James and Lula K. Lucas. She was educated in the Duval County school system, where she graduated from Edwin M. Stanton High School, Class of 1956. However, before entering Stanton High, she attended Isaiah Blocker Junior High, where she was in the Marching Band as a Majorette, and also on the girls basketball team. She was affectionately known as “Teenie” which many of her nieces and nephews would call her “Auntie Teenie”.
In August of 1962, she united in Holy wedlock to the late Arthur L. Robinson Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida, where they both lived their entire lives. Mrs. Robinson was a member of the Central Metropolitan CME Church, where at one time she served as a stewardess in the church. She was known as a mother who was very serious about the welfare of her three children. She wanted to make sure that they understood the good and the bad that life has to offer, to put it mildly, "Mama did not play." She also enjoyed and loved her beloved granddaughter-in-law Alexis Robinson.
On Tuesday, May 18, 2021 our dear mother, peacefully transitioned from this life to eternal life. She was preceded in death by both her parents; brothers, James C. Lucas Jr, Willie F. Lucas, Alfonso Lucas and Joseph Lucas; two sisters, Mae Lou Lucas and Mildred Whitaker; as well as her beloved husband, Arthur Lee Robinson Jr.
