Obituary for Elder Kenneth Leon Lane Sr.
Elder Kenneth Leon Lane, Sr. was born in Palatka, Florida on September 7, 1956, to Randall Lane and Vernetta Peeples. He confessed Christ in 1979 where he was baptized.
Elder Lane attended the local school in Jacksonville, Florida graduating from William M. Raines, Class of 1975. Later he furthered his education receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education from Theological Seminary School. Elder Lane was called by God to open a ministry called Refuge Ministry, where he pastored for several years.
Elder Lane later met and married Sadie B. Lane in Kingsland, Georgia on October 23, 1982.
Elder Lane leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife, Sadie B. Lane; children, Alphonso, Kodi (Desi), Kenneth Jr., Kanada, Farren (Rico), Kendra and Darcell; 8 grandchildren; brother, Vernon Lane (Vernesia); sisters, Shari Braswell, Gaynell Harden (Leonard) and Gwendolyn Scott (Michael); sister-in-laws, Patricia Dallas ( Marlon) and Dyneshia Thomas (Harold); a host of nieces, nephews, his mentor, Pastor Stanley Platts Sr.
The funeral service for Elder Kenneth Leon Lane Sr., will be held 12:00 pm Friday, February 22nd, 2019 at the Philippian Community Church 7578 New Kings Road Jacksonville, FL 32219. The visitation will be 11:00 - 12:00 pm, Friday, February 22nd, 2019 at the Philippian Community Church 7578 New Kings Road Jacksonville, FL 32219. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
